What time zone is Lagos in?

Lagos observes West Africa Time (WAT) at UTC+1 year-round. Nigeria does not observe daylight saving time. This puts Lagos just 1 hour ahead of London in winter (when London is on GMT, UTC+0) and exactly the same time as London in summer (when London is on BST, UTC+1).

What are the best meeting times for Lagos and London?

With a gap of only 0–1 hours, virtually any standard business hour works for both cities. There is no meaningful scheduling constraint between Lagos and London. A 9 AM London meeting is 10 AM (or 9 AM in summer) in Lagos. Any meeting from 8 AM to 6 PM London time is comfortable for Lagos participants.

Is Lagos time the same as London time in summer?

Yes. When the UK observes British Summer Time (BST, UTC+1), London and Lagos are on exactly the same time. A calendar invite at 2 PM BST requires no mental conversion for Lagos participants—it is also 2 PM WAT. This makes summer the simplest scheduling period of the year for this pairing.
